Dead Souls

As
the road I was passing by
I
met a man with watery eyes,
Who
asked me just one question, “Why?”
Why
in the world , we’re having bloodshed?
Why
in the world we are getting all dead?
Why
is that human turning wild?
His
lips trembled and he broke into a cry
I
heard all the questions but had no reply
I
wanted to console him but I had no words I knew
A
beautiful dove was killed by a dreadful sword.
I
wished to run away, I couldn’t bear
There
was question, in every drop of his tear
I
searched my mind for a word to say
But
no, I could find nay.
Then
nothing of the flame of hope in my heart
I
said, ”Hope, one day peace will start”&
I
walked away…………..
I
sat and thought,
Of
the cries of a mother,
Of
the sister waiting for her brother.
I
thought of that man day & night
I
thought of his innocent child’s plight
I
thought of the curses of speechless nature
I
thought of the world’s fearful future
I
thought of man’s every sin
But,
then I stopped because I realized
None
of us will do anything
WE
ALL ARE DEAD DEEP WITHIN
WE
ALL ARE DEAD DEEP WITHIN
